How do I create and use a trading strategy (checklist and risk rules)?
A strategy in Altrady is a saved trading plan: a name, a trading style, a checklist of rules, and risk settings. Once you create one, you can attach it to any position, and Altrady tracks how closely you followed your own rules and how that strategy performs over time.

- Go to Journal > Strategies and click Create.
- On the first step, choose Blank strategy to build everything yourself, or pick one of the ready-made templates. There are more than a dozen, grouped by style (Scalping, Intraday, Swing, Position), for example Support & Resistance Bounce, Trend Following, Consolidation Breakout, Fibonacci Retracement, Break of Structure + Retest, RSI Divergence, DCA / Grid Accumulation, and a plain Disciplined trader pre-trade checklist. A template pre-fills a suggested checklist and risk settings you can edit right after. Each template is a starting configuration, not trading advice: you decide what to keep.
- Give the strategy a name, pick a colour and emoji so it is easy to spot in lists, and add a description.
- Choose a trading style: Scalping (a few seconds to a few minutes), Intraday (a few minutes to a few hours), Swing (a few days to a few weeks), or Position (a few months to a few years). This just reflects how you plan to hold trades under this strategy; it does not restrict what you can trade.
- Click Next through the checklist and risk steps, then Finish to save.
Build the checklist
The Strategy checklist step is where you write the rules you want to follow every time you trade this way. Organise it into sections (for example “Before every trade”, “Exit conditions”, “Invalidation”) and add lines under each with Add Item and Add Section. Keep it short enough that you will actually tick it off mid-trade: a scalping checklist works better as four lines than twenty.
Tick the checklist before you enter
The checklist is not only for the review after a trade. When you attach a strategy to an order in the trading terminal, its checklist appears in the trading widget, so you can run through your setup conditions before you enter rather than only scoring them afterwards.
Set risk management rules

The risk step lets you set the limits this strategy trades by. Each rule has three modes: Off, Warn (Altrady flags it but lets you continue), or Block (Altrady stops the action). The rules are grouped:
- Exposure & concurrency: Max open positions.
- Per-trade: Max risk per trade (as a percentage of equity or a fixed amount), Max position size, Max leverage, Minimum and Maximum reward:risk, Require a stop loss, and Max / Min stop distance.
- On update: No widening the stop, and No removing the stop, so you cannot increase risk after entry.
Turn on only the rules you want. A template starts with a sensible set enabled, and you can change any of them afterward. These limits describe boundaries you set for yourself; you always decide the trade.
Assign a strategy to a position

Once a strategy exists, open a closed position’s Review page and pick it from the Strategy dropdown (a trash icon unassigns it later). As soon as it is assigned, its checklist appears inline under Rules followed, with a progress bar and tickable items grouped by section, so you can score how closely you stuck to your plan on that specific trade. Journal > Strategies lists every strategy you have created, above a summary strip (Net PnL, Positions, Win Rate, Avg. R/R, Profit Factor and Fees across all of them) and a table with a row per strategy: Closed Positions, Win rate, Profit factor, Avg. R/R, Expectancy, Average loss, Average win and Total net PnL. Use it to see at a glance which approach is actually working for you. Avg. R/R and related risk figures only calculate for smart positions created in Altrady, not for positions synced or imported from your exchange.
Plans and limits
How many strategies you can keep depends on your plan: 1 on Basic, 5 on Essential, and unlimited on Premium. The strategy checklist feature is available from Essential up, and the account-level Risk management tab (the same rules applied across an account rather than one strategy) is part of Premium.
