Balances or positions aren't syncing
If your balances or open positions look wrong, stale, or just don’t match what you see on your exchange, don’t worry: this is usually easy to sort out. Work through the checks below in order.
1. Check that your trading account is still valid
An expired or invalid exchange connection is the most common cause of stale data. If your API keys have expired, been revoked, or changed permissions on the exchange side, Altrady can’t pull fresh balances or positions.
See My trading account shows as invalid or expired for how to check this and reconnect your account.
2. Give it a moment during volatile markets
When the market moves fast, exchanges get a surge of requests from everyone at once and start throttling their APIs to cope. When this happens, the data Altrady receives can lag behind by a short while. If your numbers look slightly off only during a big price swing, wait a few minutes and check again; it usually catches up on its own.
3. Remember paper trading balances are kept separate
If you use paper trading, keep in mind that paper trading balances are never included in the total balance shown at the top of Altrady or in your Portfolio. If a number looks lower than you expect, check whether you’re comparing a paper trading balance against your real total; they’re tracked separately on purpose.
4. Import trades made outside Altrady
If you bought, sold, or opened a position directly on the exchange (not through Altrady), that trade may not show up automatically. In that case, you’ll need to import your trade history so Altrady can catch up.
See Trades made outside Altrady for how to import them.
Still not syncing?
If you’ve been through all of the above and your balances or positions still don’t look right, reach out to us using the Need Help option so our team can take a closer look.
A quick reminder on security: Altrady only ever requests read and trade permissions on your exchange API keys. Altrady can never withdraw funds from your account, no matter what.
