Connect BitMart Futures
Connect BitMart Futures
BitMart Futures lets you trade USDT-settled perpetual contracts. Altrady only supports the Futures side of BitMart; Spot trading on BitMart isn’t supported.
There are two ways to connect your account: Fast Connect, which is quick and does the setup for you, or a Manual Connection, where you create the API key yourself. We recommend Fast Connect if you’re not sure which to pick.
A quick reassurance before you start: Altrady never asks for or needs withdrawal permission on any exchange. You only ever grant trading permission.
Before you connect: whitelist your account
BitMart requires your account to be whitelisted before it can trade through an API key. This step only needs to be done once, and it can take up to 8 hours to be approved. If you try to trade before whitelisting is confirmed, you’ll get errors.
- Go to bitmart.com and click Sign In.
- Enter your email and password (or use another sign-in option) to log in.
- Hover over your profile icon at the top of the page.
- From the menu, click API Management.
- On the API Management page, click API Whitelist Request.
- A Google form opens in a new tab. Enter your BitMart CID or email address, and where you’d like your whitelisting confirmation sent (email, Telegram, etc).
- Once you receive confirmation that your account is whitelisted, you’re ready to connect.
Option 1: Fast Connect (recommended)
Fast Connect logs you into BitMart securely and sets up the API key for you, with the right permissions and Altrady’s IP addresses already applied. You don’t need to copy or paste anything.
- In Altrady, go to Settings > Exchange Account API keys.
- Click + Connect Account in the top-right corner.
- Under Futures only, click BitMart.
- Make sure Fast Connect is selected at the top of the window.
- Click Connect at the bottom. A new browser tab opens to BitMart.
- Sign in to BitMart with your email and password, then click Sign In (or use another sign-in option).
- On the permissions screen, disable Spot Trade and make sure Future-Trade is enabled.
- Click Confirm at the bottom of the window.
- A new tab confirms the API key was created. Close it and return to Altrady.
- Altrady will show a message confirming the account connected successfully.
Your account now appears in your list of Trading Accounts, named Fast Connect Futures by default; you can rename it any time by editing the account label.
BitMart only allows one Fast Connect API key per account at a time. If you ever need a new key, don’t delete the Trading Account in Altrady: that will wipe its trading history. Instead, create a new API key manually in BitMart, then edit your Fast Connect Trading Account in Altrady to swap in the new API key, Secret, and Passphrase.
Option 2: Manual Connection
If you’d rather set things up yourself, or Fast Connect isn’t available to you, use this method instead. See API Keys Explained if any of these terms are unfamiliar.
- Go to bitmart.com and click Sign In, then log in.
- Hover over your profile icon at the top of the page and click API Management.
- On the API Management page, enter a Memo for the API key. In Altrady, this becomes the Passphrase.
- Enable the Future-Trade permission. Leave BitMart’s tab open; you’ll come back to it.
- Open a new window and go to Altrady’s Settings > Exchange Account API Keys.
- Click + Connect Account in the top-right corner.
- Select BitMart from the dropdown.
- Click Manual connect at the top of the window.
- Click the copy button to copy Altrady’s list of IP addresses. Don’t type them out by hand; always use the copy button.
- Go back to the BitMart API Management page and paste the IP addresses into the whitelist field shown there.
- Click Submit below that field.
- On the next screen in BitMart:
- Click the copy button next to Access Key and paste it into the API key field in Altrady.
- Click the copy button next to Secret Key and paste it into the Secret field in Altrady.
- Enter the Memo you set earlier into the Passphrase field in Altrady.
- Once everything is filled in, click Connect in Altrady, then click Confirm in BitMart to close its window.
- Altrady shows a confirmation screen; click Connect to finish.
- Click Next.
Your account now appears in your list of API keys and can be edited any time using the Edit button next to it.
If you ever need a new API key, don’t delete the Trading Account in Altrady: that will wipe its trading history. Instead, create a new API key manually in BitMart, then edit the Trading Account in Altrady to swap in the new API key, Secret, and Passphrase.
